A VERITABLE SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTION IN BIOLOGY

Epigenetics is the study of the influence of the environment and lifestyle on the expression of genes without changing their DNA sequence. "If DNA is the musical score, then epigenetics is the maestro". This emerging science enables the understanding of the interface between the genome and its environment. SILAB has been a forerunner in this area: as early as 2012 the company started an intensive research program on epigenetics of the skin and hair.

OMICS SCIENCES

The mechanisms involved in the epigenome/skin aging relationship have been shown by the use of the most recent OMICS sciences. SILAB’s researchers have complete understanding and control of the latest generation technologies and have determined novel epigenetic biomarkers of skin aging that have been the subject of six international scientific communications.

INNOVATIVE COSMETIC SOLUTIONS TARGETING THE EPIGENOME

Years of SILAB research on epigenetics have given rise to the development of the best natural cosmetic active ingredients that can restore homeostasis of the skin and hair by targeting their epigenome: EPIGENOMYL® is a patented anti-age active ingredient that limits modifications of the epigenome caused by external aggressions and age; WHITONYL® is a patented depigmenting active ingredient that revitalizes the epigenome of melanocytes in a context of cutaneous photo-aging; HAIRGENYL® is a patented anti-hair loss active ingredient that targets the epigenetic components in hair regrowth.

SELECTION OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

This expertise is at the origin of the development of innovative natural active ingredients that provide the skin with multiple cosmetic benefits.
