On June 23, 2022, more than 80 people were gathered at SILAB to meet the new prize-winner of the foundation and her research project entitled: “Influence of enzyme IL4I1 on the microbiota during melanoma development and the response to an anti-PD1 antibody”.
Based on microbiota modulation, new strategies could be implemented to increase the efficacy of anti-PD1 antibodies in patients with cutaneous melanoma.
These studies are carried out in the Institut Cochin in Paris (Inserm U1016, CNRS UMR 8104, University of Paris-Cité), under the direction of Dr Armelle Prévost-Blondel (IL4I1 and melanoma) jointly with Dr Benoit Chassaing (microbiota of mucus membranes and chronic inflammatory diseases).
This scientific meeting was also a great opportunity for the members of the scientific council and SILAB's staff to follow the progress of the work of the previous prize-winners, Léa Dousset and Solène Besson, and to share advances of biomedical research.
